Helloo friends as Jee exam is on Sunday . so I have some tips for the exam.
Read instructions carefully: Most of you would have been attempted numerous mock test papers so you’ll be probably well-versed with the set of instructions. Still, however, it is advisable to read them and go through the marking schemes carefully before beginning the paper. Do not be overconfident and skip this segment, as there are chances you may make a mistake and ruin all the efforts you have made through the year.
2. Skim through the question paper: While every minute counts when you’re attempting one of the toughest competitive entrance exams in the country, don’t be in a hurry to start with your answers as soon as the question paper arrives. Quickly glance through the entire paper to understand the level of difficulty and wisely group the questions as ‘easily answerable’, ‘need time but can be figured out’, ‘not familiar but deserves a guess, and ‘to be left.’
3. Order of attempting JEE Main: The order of attempting the JEE Main paper entirely depends on your strengths and weaknesses. However, it is advisable to solve the easier questions first, so that ample time remains to solve the rest of the paper. This will boost your confidence and help you calmly attempt the segments you’re weak in.
4. Carefully fill the OMR sheets: This is one of the most important segments. A single mistake in colouring the wrong box can put you in a spot. Leave sufficient time to filling out the OMR and ensuring that the answers are being marked in the right order. Also, please read OMR-instructions carefully, fill the OMR blocks and the required information properly. Check: 1) Roll No 2) Name 3) Date of Birth 4) Centre Code etc. properly. Don’t hesitate to take the invigilator’s help during the exam.
5. Take it slow and easy: Don’t be in a hurry to mark an answer and ignore the options listed out in the question paper. Overconfidence can lead to silly mistakes and you run the risk of losing valuable marks. That, especially in the JEE Main, is nothing short of a sin. Therefore, read all the options well before marking an answer.
6. Guesswork won’t help: Guesswork needs ample amount of logic and a bit of luck. Although the ball at times does roll back in favour of the student, risking marks for guesswork is not an ideal choice, unless you’re confident about your reasoning. If you don’t know the answer don’t attempt it. Wrong answers will lead to loss.
7.Don’t get stuck with only question.-
candidates should not be impatient and in a hurry to solve all questions quickly. While this is a time-based exam, don’t spend a lot of time with one question and panic if you don’t get the answer. Move on to the next one and come back once you have completed the paper. In this three-hour exam with 90 questions, strategically allocating time is important.
